I'll be talking about something that will be hard to continue to discuss about. I actually started this entry on August 9th, about a week ago. But I just couldn't; I was too frightened, and I felt so empty deep down in my heart.

On August 6th, American general Charles W. Sweeney, the air carrier pilot, came to Hiroshima and bombed it. There were many bombing accidents, but this wasn't any ordinary bomb. If you've ever heard about the Manhattan Project, then that's what I'm about to talk about... Many would consider Albert Einstein as the most contributing, great scientist in history. But he went too far! An atomic bomb? To blow up the whole city? Science and technology should be used to enhance people's lives, not just destroy all of God's creations....I guess this is why people say religion and science together is difficult to coexist... I mean, think about all the innocent people that were sacrificed int he bombing....

This isn't over yet. One week ago, on the 9th, an other atomic bomb was launched on Nagasaki.... even more people were sacrificed as a result. I can't even believe this disaster... is this the only way to seek peace? War and peace...these two will just continue to cause world issues even in the next decades and centuries.... In my opinion, this was just too far of what everyone was thinking about...

I can't even imagine what might've happened to my mother and siblings. Gone..? And my father? What about my husband that I get to see so little? Our family is now definitely torn up, while we weren't even a major part of the war, or either really involved in it.

By coincidence, I was going through my stuff and I came upon a photo of me when I was a very young girl. I saw me, about two years old, and I saw a woman besides me, but not my mother. I looked on the back, and in my father's handwriting, it said that she was my real mother, Akiya, who had left me long ago. I was in total dismay. I found out my real mother, and I don't even know if she is alive in Japan at this moment.
